The Hook of Holland is a town to the west of the Netherlands, at the mouth of the Nieuwe Waterweg ship canal into the North Sea, covering an area of 1.  It is administered by the municipality of Rotterdam as a district of that city.

Its district covers an area of 16.7 km2 (of which 13.92 km2 is land). On 1 January 1999 it had an estimated population of 9,400.

The wide sandy beach runs for approximately 11.2 miles (18km) to Scheveningen and for most of this distance it is backed by a number of sand dunes which have foot and cycle paths.

To the west of the town, there is a pier which is accessible to both pedestrians and cyclists alike.
